Micah Stanek is currently working on a pilot project for transitioning mowed vacant lots in St. Louis toward the native oak savanna. The project has received an MSD Project Clear grant, a Sam Fox School Office of Socially Engaged Practice’s CityStudioSTL grant, and a Gephardt Institute’s St. Louis Project grant, to implement a biodiverse wildflower garden through social engagement with a neighborhood in North St. Louis.
